...are pretty much bullshit at this point. The imaginations of Sci-Fi writers give humanity way more credit than it deserves. No one is making rocketships to outer space or a theme park full of android cowboys. Hoverboards should have been here by now. All of the tech is being developed by the people with money, and the smart people who are pushing technology toward self-sufficiency are employed by the people with money. And the people with money only have one goal: power and more money. Okay, two goals. That's why all of this increase in functionality and the advancement of seemingly futuristic ideas and principles is just being wielded to create algorithms to predict your spending habits. Great job nerds, you can accurately predict the perfect ad for me to see on facebook.
